Association members will vote for the 2013 Board of Directors. Seven people are elected to the Board and they, in turn, decide upon the position in which they wish to serve.  If you want to run for the Board or vote in the election, you must be an Association member, resident of Parrot Cove.  In order to vote, you must attend this meeting.

Want to learn more about the positions before volunteering?  Call a current Board member.  Nominations will be taken from the floor but we hope to e-blast a tentative list of candidates prior to the meeting. (more…) read more →

Home & Garden Tour a Success

In spite of morning rain, there were over 420 attendees at the 2012 Home & Garden Tour that included eight homes, two churches, two bed & breakfasts, the golf course, classic cars and an art walk. The tour started at St. Andrews Church where attendees picked-up their brochures, toured the church and then either walked or rode complimentary pedicabs to other destinations. Mango Inn and Sabal Palm House were open with an art walk in their gardens and served finger food. The golf course, under new management, welcomed guests who were impressed with this beautiful course on the intracoastal. Believer's Victory Church at 10th and Lakeside was the staging place for the local restaurants serving tastings of their specialties and was the location of classic cars that were parked on Lakeside. All the venues had beverages ranging from champagne and wine to water and soda.

The overwhelming response was how impressed people were with the Parrot Cove neighborhood and it's residents. Many had never been here, didn't know it existed and at least two guests have started house hunting in our neighborhood! We were complimented on the mix of homes, the graciousness of the hosts, the interesting inclusion of the churches and the golf course and the samplings from local restaurants. People left with a real knowledge of our community.

Volunteers started planning this event in July of 2011 working hard to make it appear effortless. The volunteers, residents, homeowners who opened their residences and everyone who participated made this a great event. read more →
